Joins Hornets this season after transferring from I-A South Florida. Missed most of 2004 season while recovering from torn ACL. Hard runner. Former Tampa Bay area high school star. Also considered Tulane out of high school.

At South Florida: Saw action in three games in 2004 . had seven carries for 32 yards with a long of 19 last season . played in just two games in 2003 but gave a glimpse of his talents with eight carries for 34 yards and one touchdown vs. Charleston Southern (Oct. 18). played one week later at Southern Miss (Oct. 25). . made the most of his 14 carries in 2002, averaging 5.9 yards an attempt with a total of 82 yards and one touchdown on an eight-yard run. saw initial action in season opener vs. Florida Atlantic (Aug. 29), when he had three carries for 31 yards with a touchdown. carried a season-high 11 times for 51 yards vs. Charleston Southern (Nov. 2) when he had his sole reception of the year for nine yards . named Offensive Golden Bull Award winner as the top scout team player in 2001 before seeing his initial action in 2002 . opted to use a redshirt season in 2001 . At Pinellas Park HS: The number 23 rated player in the Tampa Bay area by the St. Petersburg Times in 2000 . rushed for 1,193 yards on 120 carries ( 9.9 avg.). scored 10 touchdowns. also played defensive back for the Patriots. a high school teammate of DSU linebacker Sam Smith . played in the Global Junior Championships during Super Bowl XXXV Week in Tampa Bay. scored three touchdowns for Team USA in a 49-3 win over Europe . on runs of 70, 55 and 8 yards .
