LADY HORNETS EQUESTRIAN TEAM GET FIRST HISTORICAL WIN

Brookings, SD --- It was their second outing in NCAA team competition, but the first year Delaware State Equestrian Team rode to victory this past weekend against South Dakota State and North Dakota State. The team traveled to South Dakota State University with both their English and Western riders, scoring wins in both disciplines ending in an overall victory. In overall team scoring, DSU finished first with 963 points, SDS was second with 953 and NDS was third with 942.

The first year DSU Equestrian Team completed their first weekend of competition and are now preparing for their second outing at South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD, on November 11th. In their first outing the team traveled to Texas for their first ever competitions. The team, led by Head Coach Leigh Nichol and Assistant Coach Amy Walls, rode against Southern Methodist University, and Stephen F. Austin, with an exhibition at Texas A&M, all in the English discipline.
