Dover, DE – DSU’s senior guard, Jahsha Bluntt has been selected to play in the 55th Annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament to played April 4-7 in Portsmouth, VA. Bluntt is one of 64 college seniors to play in the prestigious event.

Morgantown, WV – The shooting drought the Hornets suffered in the championship game of the MEAC tournament, continued in the first round of the National Invitational Tournament (NIT), as West Virginia University defeated Delaware State University 74-50. The win improved the Mountaineers to 23-9, while the Hornets closed out the 2006-07 season with a 21-13 mark. WVU will move on to the second round of the NIT and will play host to the winner of the Alabama-Massachusetts game.

The Number 1 seed Hornets (21-11) will take on the winner of the North Carolina A&T-Florida A&M University semifinal on Saturday at 6 pm. The championship game will be televised live, also at 6 p.m., on ESPN Classic.
